Workshops

Workshops at SSOT are held three times a year and are conducted by Ustad Shahid Parvez during his visits to Toronto and are held twice a week during this time. The workshops are open to anybody with a desire to learn and play music! Sitar players of all levels, as well as those who wish to begin learning without having any prior experience, are all welcome. At the workshops, participants have the unique opportunity to learn from Ustad Shahid Parvez on a one-on-one basis. They also have the added advantage of witnessing others being taught by Ustadji, and as a result learn from listening - an approach that is considered very important and is an essential part of the teachings at SSOT. It is an enormous opportunity to learn from Ustadji, and experience his presence. By attending the workshops you can find out about the SSOT first hand and by talking to other students, as most of our students generally participate. You are welcome to come and take advantage of the workshops being offered.
